One-Carrot Gold Purée

Wash and peel the carrots
- 1 c fresh carrots (2 medium sized carrots)
- 1/4 c water
Three Bean Casserole

Preheat oven to 350. Brown bacon, remove from skillet and keep warm
- 1/2 c. bacon, cut up
- 1 lb. hamburger
- 1 c. onion, chopped
- 1/2 c. brown sugar
- 1/2 c. white sugar
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 T. vinegar
- 1/2 c. catsup
- 1 can butter beans, drained
- 1 can green beans, drained
- 1 can pork & beans
Yellow and Red Antipasto

Preheat oven to 400 degrees
- 3 lg. red bell peppers
- 3 lg. yellow bell peppers
- 1 tsp. capers
- 3 T. olive oil
- 2 T. white vinegar
- 4 garlic cloves, finely sliced
- 2 T. chopped parsley
- Pinch of thyme
- Pinch of marjoram
- 12 black olives
- Salt
- Pepper
Buckeye Candy

CANDY: Mix butter, peanut butter and sugar well
- Chocolate Covering:
- 1 lb. butter (not margarine), at room temperature
- 1 lb. 12 oz. jar peanut butter
- 3-1 lb. boxes confectioners' sugar
- 2-12 oz. pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 3/4 to 1 bar parawax (canning wax)
Crash Hot Potatoes

Cook as many potatoes as you wish in a pot of salted water until fork-tender
- New potatoes or other small round potatoes
- Olive oil
- Kosher salt
- Black pepper
- Rosemary or desired herbs
Pretty Peas

Put peas into a steamer basket, or place into a saucepan covered by one inch of water
- 1 c frozen peas
- 1/2 c water
Old-Fashioned Jelly Roll

Beat eggs until light; add sugar and continue beating until light and fluffy
- 3 eggs
- 1 c. sugar
- 1/4 c. cold water
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 3/4 c. sifted flour
- 3 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- Jelly or jam
- Cream icing or nuts
Sugar Cookies

Combine ingredients. Roll out dough and cut with cookie cutters
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 c. margarine
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp. soda
- 1 c. sour cream
- 4 c. flour
Root Beer

Soak yeast in 1 cup lukewarm water
- 1 bottle root beer extract
- 1/2 cake yeast
- 4 lbs. granulated sugar
- 5 gals. warm water
Stir-Fry Vegetables

- 1/4 c. olive oil
- 1 c. broccoli
- 1 c. cauliflower
- 1 c. carrots
- 1 c. celery
- 1 c. green pepper

- 1/4 c. soy sauce
- 1 clove diced garlic
- 1 tsp. sliced ginger
