Apple Crumble with Hot Custard Recipe | SAVEUR

For the crumble: Preheat oven to 350º
- 12 granny smith apples, peeled, quartered, cored, and thickly sliced
- 1 ⁄2 cup sugar
- 2 cups flour
- 1 1⁄2 cups brown sugar
- 1 tsp. ground cinnamon
- 1 ⁄4 tsp. ground cloves
- 16 tbsp. butter, cut into pieces

For years I always said I made my sister Mimi's Lasagne
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 c. olive oil
- 1 large red onion, chopped
- 1 lb. ground chuck
- 1 lb. ground sirloin
- 1 lb. bulk sweet Italian Sausage
- 2 c. sliced cremini mushrooms
- 1/2 c. fresh parsley, chopped
- Salt and Pepper to taste
- 1-6 oz. tomato paste.
- 1 tbsp. sugar
- 1- 24 oz.. can San Marzano tomato puree
- 1/2 c. red wine, optional
- 1 package cooked wide lasagne noodles
- 1 lb. fresh whole milk ricotta (or more!) (I like Calabro)
- 1 lb. whole milk mozzarella, shredded (or more!)

In a small pot, simmer heavy cream, milk, sugar and salt until sugar completely dissolves, about 5 minutes
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1 cup whole milk
- 2/3 cup sugar
- 1/8 teaspoon fine sea salt
- 6 large egg yolks
- Your choice of flavoring (see note)

- 1 can (7.5 ounce)Tuna
- 1/4 cup chopped green onion
- 1/4 c mayo
- 4 slices sandwich bread

- 1 . SLICE AVOCADO
- 2 . CHOP TOMATO (ROMA)
- 3 . SLICE RED PEPPER
- 4 . PUT LETTUCE IN TORTILLA BOWL
- 5 . PUT SESAME SEED BEEF ON TOP OF LETTUCE
- 6 . LAYER WITH REMAINING ITEMS, WITH LAST TWO BEING TOMATOES AND CHEESE (FINE SHREDDED SHARP CHEDDAR)
- 7 . IF THERE IS LEFTOVER MARINADE, POUR OVER SALAD
- 8 . ENJOY!

- 3 Tables. dark corn syrup
- 1/2 cup bourbon

- Blood Orange Aioli:
- 1 cup mayonnaise
- 2 to 3 tablespoons freshly squeezed blood orange juice (about 1/2 orange)
- 1 tablespoon stone-ground mustard
- 1 teaspoon blood orange zest
- 1 clove garlic, grated
- Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper

- 18 butter crackers, crushed (about 3/4 cup)
