  • Mix together:
  • 2-1/2 cups sugar
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 12 ounces softened butter
  • Beat six minutes until light and creamy.
  • ADD:
  • 1-1/4 cups flour
  • 3/4 cup cocoa
  • Mix until just blended, scrape the bowel and add 5 eggs, lightly beaten.
  • FROSTING:
  • 1-1/2 ounces of unsweetened chocolate
  • 1-1/2 ounces butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 ounces brewed coffee
