Asparagus and Soft Eggs on Toast

Heat broiler. Place the bread and asparagus on a baking sheet
- 4 slices rustic country bread
- 1 pound asparagus, tough ends trimmed
- 2 tablespoons olive oil kosher salt and black pepper
- 8 large eggs*
- 1/4 cup Parmesan (1 ounce)
- Because the eggs in this recipe are not fully cooked, there is a risk of food-borne illness.
The Best Chocolate Cake

CAKE: 1. Heat oven to 350°F
- CAKE:
- 2 cups sugar
- 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 2 tablespoons King Arthur Flour Black Cocoa, optional
- 2 teaspoons baking soda
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 cup strong black coffee (I used Green Mountain Coffee’s Vermont Country Blend)
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- CHOCOLATE BUTTERCREAM FROSTING:
- 1 cup unsalted butter (2 sticks or 1/2 pound), softened (but not melted!)
- 3 1/2 cups confectioners (powdered) sugar
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder
- 1/2 teaspoon table salt
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract or 1 teaspoon almond extract
- 4 tablespoons milk or heavy cream
Strawberry Cheesecake Bars

- Graham Cracker Crust:
- 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
- 6 tablespoons butter, melted

Banana Bread Chocolate Fudge Swirled Cheesecakes

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F
- Banana Bread:
- 3 large or 4 small ripe bananas, mashed
- 1 1/4 cups white whole wheat flour or whole wheat pastry flour
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 cup loosely packed brown sugar
- 1/2 cup canned coconut milk (may swap butter milk or greek yogurt)
- 1/2 cup coconut oil, melted (or swap canola oil)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 4 ounces semi-sweet chocolate, chopped (use more or less to your liking)
- Cheesecakes:
- 8 ounce cream cheese, softened to room temperature
- 4 ounces mascarpone cheese, softened to room temperature
- 1/4 cup coconut milk or regular milk
- 1/4 cup sweetened condensed milk (use 1/3-1/2 cup for a sweeter cheesecake)
- 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/3 cup packed brown sugar
- 2/3 cup milk (I use 2%) or heavy cream
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 6 ounces milk chocolate, chopped
- 2 tablespoon unsalted butter, cut into small cubes
- 2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- whipped cream, for topping
Nutella French Toast Rollups

In a medium bowl whisk together the milk, heavy cream, egg, and vanilla; set aside
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1/4 cup heavy cream
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- 12 sandwich-bread slices (I use Whole Wheat by Pepperidge Farms)
- Nutella
- 4 tablespoons butter, divided
- 1/4 cup Vanilla Sugar

- 1/4 cup sweetened coconut flakes, optional

- 1 cup (215 grams) brown sugar

- For the coffee buttercream:
- 1 1/2 cup (300 grams) sugar
- 1/3 cup (40 grams) flour
- 1 1/4 cup (295 ml) whole milk
