- 5 carrots, peeled and thinly sliced
- 4 potatoes, peeled and cut into 1/2" cubes
Foolproof Pie Crust -- Double crust

1. Process 1 1/2 cups flour, salt, and sugar in food processor until combined, about 2 one-second pulses
- For one 9-inch Double-Crust Pie
- 2 1/2 cups unbleached all-purpose flour (12 1/2 ounces)
- 1 tsp table salt
- 2 Tbs sugar
- 12 Tbs cold unsalted butter (1 1/2 sticks), cut into 1/4-inch slices
- 1/2 cup chilled solid vegetable shortening , cut into 4 pieces
- 1/4 cup vodka , cold
- 1/4 cup cold water

1. Heat a dutch oven over medium-high heat
- 1.5 cups finely chopped onions
- 6 cloves garlic, minced
- 1.5 cups white wine
- 12 Tbs tomato paste
- 1 Tbs Penzey's Pizza Seasoning
- 2 Tbs dried oregano
- 3/4 tsp black pepper
- 6 cans (14.5 oz each) crushed tomatoes, undrained
- 1.5 tsp crushed red pepper
- 1 Tbs Balsamic vinegar

- 1 cup toffee bits
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar

- 4 Tbs butter, melted

French Cheeseburger Loaf

1. In a large skillet, cook the beef, onion and pepper over medium heat until meat is no longer pink
- 3/4 lb lean ground beef (90% lean)
- 1/2 cup chopped sweet onion
- 1 small green pepper, chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 Tbs all-purpose flour
- 2 Tbs Dijon mustard
- 1 Tbs ketchup
- 1 tube (11 ounces) refrigerated crusty French loaf
- 4 slices reduced-fat process American cheese product
- 1 egg white, lightly beaten
- 3 Tbs shredded Parmesan cheese
Chicken Lasagna Florentine

1. Combine 1st 10 ingredients
- 2 - 10 3/4 oz cans condensed cream of chicken soup (I used light)
- 1 - 10 oz package frozen chopped spinach, thawed
- 9 oz diced cooked chicken ( I usually use a couple of breasts)
- 8 oz reduced fat sour cream
- 1 cup milk (I used NF)
- 1/2 cup parmesan cheese, grated
- 1/3 cup onion, chopped
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp pepper
- 1/8 tsp nutmeg
- 9 lasagna noodles, uncooked
- 1 cup mozzerella, shredded
Bread Pudding

1. Combine all ingredients
- 2 10 oz loaf stale french bread, crumbled into uneven pieces. (should end up with 6-8 cups of bread)
- 4 cups milk
- 2 cups sugar
- 8 Tbs butter, melted
- 8 eggs
- 2 tsp vanilla
- 1 cup raisins
- 1 cup chopped pecans
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tsp nutmeg
- Whiskey sauce. (I make mine with rum or lemon juice)
- 8 Tbs butter
- 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
- 2 egg yolks
- 1/2 cup bourbon, or any flavoring you like (to taste)
