Skillet Garlic-Rosemary Chicken Thighs

Coat the chicken thighs in the seasoned flour, shaking off the excess
- 6 skinless, boneless chicken thighs, trimmed of fat
- 3 tablespoons flour, seasoned with salt and pepper
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1/4 cup dry white wine
- 1 1/2 cups chicken broth
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon minced fresh rosemary
- 1 teaspoon grated lemon zest
- Roasted new potatoes, rice, or noodles, for serving
Chocolate Cupcake Strawberry Shortcakes

As we all know, chocolate and strawberries have a natural affinity for one another
- For the cupcakes:
- 1 1/2 pounds strawberries, hulled, rinsed and sliced
- 2 tablespoons orange-flavored liqueur, if desired
- 3 to 4 tablespoons sugar, or to taste
- 2 to 3 teaspoons lemon juice, or to taste
- 1 teaspoon grated orange peel
- 3/4 cup flour
- 1/4 cup Dutch-process cocoa powder
- 3/4 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 4 tablespoons softened butter
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 egg, lightly beaten
- 1 ounce bittersweet chocolate, melted
- 3 ounces buttermilk
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
- For the whipped cream:
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 2 tablespoons powdered sugar, plus additional for sifting over cupcakes
- 1/4 teaspoon vanilla
Chocolate Kahlua Walnut Tart

Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F
- 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup (1 stick) cold unsalted butter, cut into small pieces
- 3-4 tablespoons heavy cream
- 1 egg yolk
- 2 cups toasted walnuts, coarsely chopped
- 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips
- 3/4 cup packed light brown sugar
- 1/4 cup dark corn syrup
- 1/4 cup (1/2 stick) unsalted butter
- 3 tablespoons coffee liqueur

Pre-heat griddle to 350 degrees F, or a skillet to medium
- Dry Ingredients:
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 3 tablespoons sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon ground cloves
- 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg or 1 teaspoon freshly grated nutmeg
- 1/2 teaspoon ground mace
- Wet Ingredients:
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted and slightly cooled
- 2 cups buttermilk (room temperature)
- 2 large eggs (room temperature)
- 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Other Ingredients:
- 1 cup tart apples, grated
- 1 cup toasted pecans, chopped
- Unsalted butter for griddle
