Turkey Cranberry Wreath

This is one of those priceless recipes that actually makes leftovers worth savoring
- 2 packages (8 oz each) refrigerated crescent rolls
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 2 T. honey Dijon mustard
- 1/2 t. coarsely ground black pepper
- 2 cups cooked turkey, chopped
- 1/2 cup celery, sliced
- 3 T. fresh parsley, snipped
- 1/2 cup dried cranberries
- 4 oz. Swiss cheese, shredded (1 cup)
- 1/4 cup walnuts, chopped
- 1 egg, separated

- 1 (8-ounce) can pineapple chunks in juice, drained and chopped, 1/4 cup juice reserved
- 3 tablespoons minced fresh cilantro
- 3 garlic cloves , minced
- 1 1/2 tablespoons minced chipotle chiles in adobo sauce (canned)
- 1 (8-ounce) bag coleslaw mix
- 3 scallions , sliced thin
- Salt
- 2 pork tenderloins (1 1/2 to 2 pounds total), sliced in half lengthwise

Oven Baked Brisket

This is one of the most reliable recipes I have
- This recipe is for a brisket around 5 pounds, but can easily be doubled for a larger cut.
- 1 5lb. Brisket
- 1 T. Liquid Smoke
- 1 t. garlic powder
- 2 t. celery salt
- 1/2 t. salt
- 1 T. Worchestershire sauce
- 2 T. low salt soy sauce
- 3 T. brown sugar
- 1/2 cup catsup
- 1 T. dry mustard
- 1 T. low salt soy sauce
Jalapeno-Pimento Cheese Spread

- 3 cups grated Cheddar cheese
- 1 1/2 cups grated Monterey Jack cheese
- 1/2 cup chopped pimentos
- 2 T. chopped picked jalapenos with juice
- 1/2 cup good quality mayonnaise
- 1/2 cup Miracle Whip
Williamsburg Orange-Sherry Cake

Beautiful cake, especially at Christmas
- 1 cup golden raisins
- 1/2 cup dry sherry
- 3/4 cup butter, room temperature
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 3 eggs
- 1 1/2 t. vanilla
- Zest of 1 orange
- 2 1/2 cups flour
- 1 1/2 t. baking soda
- 1/2 t. salt
- 1 1/2 cups buttermilk
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts or pecans
- Frosting
- 1/4 cup butter, room temperature
- 8 oz. cream cheese, room temperature
- 1 pound powdeed sugar
- 2 T. orange liqueur
- 2 T. orange zest
Cinnamon Coffee Cake

Easy, elegant and delightful addition to brunch
- Cake:
- 1 box of Betty Crocker Butter Recipe Yellow Super Moist Cake Mix
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 3/4 cup oil
- 1 8 oz sour cream
- 4 eggs
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 tsp. butter
- Filling:
- 2 tsp. cinnamon
- 3 Tbs. brown sugar
Stir-Fried Beef with Snow Peas and Cashews

1. Cut flank steak lengthwise into 3 long strips, then cut each strip crosswise against grain into thin slices
- 1 flank steak about 1 1/2 pounds
- 2 T. soy sauce
- 1/3 cup hoisin sauce, Kikkoman Hoisin Sauce
- 1/2 tsp. red pepper flakes or to taste
- 2 T. vegetable oil
- 8 ounces snow peas, stems snapped off and strings removed
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 T. grated fresh ginger
- 1/2 cup unsalted roasted cashews, chopped
Seared Scallops with Lemon Orzo

Heat a medium saucepan over medium-high heat
- Cooking spray
- 1/2 cup prechopped onion
- 1 cup uncooked orzo (rice-shaped pasta)
- 1 cup fat-free, less-sodium chicken broth
- 1/2 cup dry white wine
- 1/4 teaspoon dried thyme
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh chives
- 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
- 2 teaspoons olive oil
- 1 1/2 pounds sea scallops
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Treebeard's Buttercake

I had these delicious cookie bars at a meeting in Houston and was immediately infatuated with them
- Crust:
- 1 box of Pillsbury Plus Yellow cake mix
- 1/2 cup of butter (one stick) melted
- 1 egg
- Filling:
- 3 1/3 cups powdered sugar, sifted
- 2 eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 3 3-ounce packages of cream cheese, softened
- 1 1/2 cups of powdered sugar, sifted
