- First layer
- 1 cup flour cut in 1 cup margarine till crumbly
- Add 1 cup finelyt chopped nuts
- Put into bottom of 9 X 13 pan. Bake 10 to 12 min. a 350 degrees. cool
- Second Layer
- 1 8 oz cream cheese (room temp)
- 1 cup powdered sugar. Blend
- Fold on 1 * pz cool whip
- Place on top of first layer.

- 1 In 10-inch nonstick skillet, cook beef and onion over medium-high heat, stirring frequently, until beef is thoroughly cooked; drain.
- 2 Add all remaining Stew ingredients; mix well. Heat to boiling. Reduce heat to low; simmer 8 to 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until vegetables are tender.
- 3 Meanwhile, in medium saucepan, heat water, margarine and garlic salt to boiling. Remove from heat; add milk. Stir in potato flakes and parsley. Cover to keep warm.
- 4 To serve, fluff potatoes with fork. Serve stew over potatoes.
