Mississippi Mud Cake

Preheat oven to 375 degrees Cake: Combine butter, shortening, cocoa and water
- Cake:
- 1 stick butter
- 1/2 cup shortening
- 4 Tablespoon cocoa
- 1 cup water
- 2 cups flour
- 2 cups white sugar
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 2 eggs, slightly beaten
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- Frosting:
- 1 stick butter
- 4 Tablespoon cocoa
- 6 Tablespoon milk
- 1 lb. powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 cup chopped nuts
Chocolate Chip Cookies

- 1 lb butter (four squares)
- 2 cups dark brown sugar
- 1 1/2 white sugar
- 3 eggs
- 2 Tablespoon Vanilla
- 6 cups flour (depending on humidity may need 7 cups)
- 2 cups of chopped nuts
- 1 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/2 teaspoon soda
- 4-6 cups of chocolate chips
- Use a good grade of flour

- 4 quarts of popcorn popped (set aside)
- 1 cup of brown sugar

Caramel Bread Pudding with Coconut + Banana

- 10 to 11 ounces white sandwich bread (about half a loaf, 10 to 12 slices), cubed
- 1/2 cup caramel from a block, cut into 1/2" pieces
- 2 medium bananas, peeled and sliced
- 8 large egg yolks
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 1/4 cups milk
- 1 1/4 cups heavy cream
- 1/2 cup coconut milk powder
- 1/2 cup coconut flakes
Broccoli & Cauliflower Gratin

1) Bring a large pot of water to a boil over medium heat
- Salt (for boiling water
- 1 small head or bundle of broccoli, trimmed into florets
- 1 small head cauliflower or half a large head, trimmed and cut into florets
- 1 lb. whole-wheat macaroni, pennem, or other short cut pasta
- 2 cups sour cream or reduced fat sour cream
- 1 Tbsp Dijon mustard
- 1/3 cup finely chopped chives
- 2 cloves garlic, peeled and grated or crushed into paste
- 1 few drops of hot sauce
- freshly ground black pepper
- 2 1/2 cups grated extra-shart Cheddar
Classic Chicken Salad with Grapes and Celery

Combine the chicken, grapes, celery and green onions in a bowl and mix well
- 3 cups shredded favorite Rotisserie Chicken
- 1/4 cup red seedless grapes, halved
- 1/4 cup celery, chopped
- 2 Tbsp green onions, finely chopped

- 1/2 teaspoon salt

- 1/2 milk
- 1/2 vegetable oil
- 1 1/2 teaspoon lemon peel
- 4 1/2 Tablespoon lemon juice
- 1/3 cup white sugar
- Powder sugar
Mini Orange Angel Food Cakes

These cakes make beautiful presentation desserts
- Cake
- 1/2 cup King Arthur Unbleached Cake Flour Blend or Queen Guinevere Cake Flour
- 3/4 cup Baker's Special sugar or superfine sugar
- 2 teaspoons finely grated orange rind (zest)
- 6 large egg whites
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon orange extract
- 3/4 teaspoon cream of tartar
- Glaze
- 1 cup glazing sugar or confectioners' sugar, sifted
- 1/4 cup orange juice fruit powder*
- 1/4 cup milk*
- Substitute 3 tablespoons orange juice for the juice powder and milk, if desired; this will make the recipe dairy-free.
