- 1/2 teaspoon almond extract
- 1/4 cup chilled buttermilk
- Whipped Cream and Berries
- 2 1/4 cups chilled heavy whipping cream
- 5 tablespoons powdered sugar
- 1 1/4 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 12 ounces strawberries, quartered
- 2 1/2-pint containers raspberries
- 2 1/2-pint containers blueberries
- 3 tablespoons sugar

Make the vegetables: Preheat the oven to 400˚

- 1 small head broccoli (about 1 pound)
- 1 red bell pepper, roughly chopped

- 1/3 cup vegetable oil, plus more for baking dish
- 3/4 cup matzo cake meal
- 5 medium apples, such as Golden Delicious or Crispin, peeled, cored, halved, and cut into 1/4-inch-thick slices (about 5 cups)
