- 10 (14- x 9-inch) frozen phyllo pastry sheets (from 1 [1-lb.] pkg.), thawed (such as Athens)
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, divided
- 1/2 cup light corn syrup
- 1/3 cup packed dark brown sugar
- 1/4 cup heavy cream
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/8 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups chopped toasted pecans

Spinach Pasta Salad

Bring a large pot of water to a boil along with 1 tablespoon kosher salt
- 8 ounces bowtie pasta
- 1/2 very small red onion thinly sliced and cut into 1-inch pieces, about 1/4 cup
- 3 large cloves garlic minced
- 6 tablespoons olive oil
- 1/4 cup red wine vinegar
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- 4 cups baby spinach
- 2 cups grape tomatoes halved
- grated fresh Parmesan optional
Parmesan Meatloaf

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees
- 1 lb ground turkey
- 1 lb ground beef
- 2 eggs
- 1/4 cup gluten free breadcrumbs
- 1/2 teaspoon dried basil
- 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1-2 cloves garlic, finely minced
- 1 small onion, grated
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 cup marinara pasta sauce (homemade here, minus the meat)
- 1/2 cup shredded Italian cheese blend
- minced parsley for garnish

- 3/4 ounces Cointreau
- 1 ounce lime juice/simple syrup
- 2 ounces white cranberry juice

- 1/2 cup confectioner's sugar (plus more for rolling baked cookies)

- 2 tablespoons good quality sweet paprika ; (see cook's note)
- 2 cups warm water
- 2 cubes beef bouillon
- 2 whole canned tomatoes ; chopped
- 1 green bell pepper
- 4 or 5 potatoes
- 2 tablespoons sour cream ; plus more for plating
- 1 pound prepared spaetzle ; as an accompaniment
- Cucumber ; salad
- 2 cucumbers
- Seasoned salt

- 1.5 tsp each salt and pepper
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 3 garlic cloves , crushed
- 1 large onion , chopped (brown, yellow or white)
- 2 celery ribs , chopped
- 2 carrots , chopped
- 2 tbsp tomato paste
- 2 cups (500ml) dry red wine (Note 2)
- 2 cups (500ml) beef stock/broth, low sodium
- 2 sprigs thyme (optional)
- 2 bay leaves
