Jo-Ann's Power Bars

1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C)
- 1 cup quick-cooking rolled oats
- 1/2 cup whole wheat flour
- 1/2 cup wheat and barley nugget cereal (e.g. Grape-Nuts™)
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 beaten egg
- 1/4 cup applesauce
- 1/4 cup honey
- 3 tablespoons brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1/4 cup unsalted sunflower seeds
- 1/4 cup chopped walnuts
- 1 (7 ounce) bag chopped dried mixed fruit
Grilled Marinated Vegetables

Directions Preheat grill to medium-high (400 degrees to 450 degrees F)
- Reynolds Wrap® 18-inch Wide Heavy Duty Aluminum Foil
- 1 small green bell pepper, cut into thin strips
- 1 small red or yellow bell pepper, cut in thin strips
- 1 small red onion, thinly sliced
- 1 (8 ounce) package fresh baby portobello mushrooms, halved
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh basil
- 3 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Salt and black pepper to taste

- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1/2 cup Asian chili sauce*
- 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon fish sauce*
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1/2 red bell pepper, seeded, cored and cut into thin slices
- 1/2 yellow bell pepper, seeded, cored and cut into thin slices
- 1 large carrot, shredded
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh mint leaves
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh basil leaves
- 6 rice paper rounds*
- 6 butter lettuce leaves, ribs removed
- 1 1/2 cups cooked cellophane noodles or bean threads, cooled*
French Onion Soup I

Directions Melt butter or margarine in a 4 quart saucepan
- 1/4 cup butter
- 3 onions, thinly sliced
- 1 teaspoon white sugar
- 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
- 2 1/2 cups water
- 1/2 cup red wine
- 2 (10.5 ounce) cans condensed beef broth
- 1 French baguette
- 8 ounces sliced Swiss cheese
Oven Baked BBQ Ribs

- 2 cups sliced onions
- 2 cups ketchup
- 2 cups water
- 4 teaspoons salt
- 1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 cup white vinegar
- 1/2 cup dark brown sugar
- 4 teaspoons dry mustard
- 4 pounds pork spareribs
Tex Mex Chicken Taco Soup

Saute onions, green bell peppers, and garlic in a small amount of oil
- 1/2 cup diced onions
- 14oz can of kernel corn
- 1/2 cup diced green bell pepper
- 14oz can of hominy
- 1 can of Hot rotel tomatoes
- 1 T of mined garlic
- 16oz can of Ranch style beans
- Vegetable oil ( small amount)
- 2-4oz cans of tomatoe paste
- 1 lb Chicken breast, cooked and shredded
- 2-14oz cans of chicken broth
- 1-8oz jar of salsa
- 1-8oz pkg of cream cheese
Coffee Cake Muffins

To make the muffins: preheat oven to 375F
- For the muffins:
- 6 tablespoons unsweetened applesauce
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup whole wheat flour
- 1 cup all purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- Dash salt
- For the filling:
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup chopped pecans
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- For the drizzled icing
- 2 tablespoons milk
- 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
