- 3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 cups wheat bran
- 1 cup cornmeal
- 4 teaspoons salt
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- 2 cups whole wheat flour
- 1 cup rye flour
- 1/2 cup nonfat dry milk powder
- 1 cup peanut butter
- 2 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast
- 1/4 cup warm water
- 2 cups tomato juice
Doughnut Muffin

A rich buttery, cinnamon sweet muffin that is so much better than just a muffin!
- Batter
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/3 cup brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 to 1 1/4 teaspoons ground nutmeg, to taste
- 3/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 2/3 cups King Arthur Unbleached All-Purpose Flour
- 1 cup milk
- Topping
- 3 tablespoons melted butter
- 3 tablespoons Cinnamon-Sugar Plus or cinnamon sugar
Philadelphia German Butter Cake Recipe

Add cake base ingredients to bread machine in order listed
- Topping for cake:
- Base of cake: shopping list
- 1/4 cup shortening
- 1 large egg
- 1/2 cup milk (I have used soy milk with great success)
- 1 Tablespoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 1/2 cups unbleached flour
- 2 1/2 teaspoons bread machine yeast
- 1/2 pound unsalted room temperature butter
- 2 cups sugar
- 2/3 cup unbleached flour
- 2 large eggs
- 1/4 cup milk
Mason Jar Salads with Avocado Salad Dressing

There is no excuse not to have a healthy, tasty salad for lunch at work anymore
- Sturdy veggies I use:
- Salad Greens
- Butter Lettuce
- Romaine
- Red Leaf
- Green Leaf
- Radicchio
- Arugula
- Baby Spinach
- Whatever you like!
- Avocado Dressing
- 2 ripe Haas avocados
- 2 cloves of garlic
- juice of one medium, fresh lemon
- 3 tablespoons finely chopped fresh cilantro
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/2 cup Miracle Whip
- Start chopping! You can use any combination of fresh veggies that you prefer.
- Onions, sliced very thin
- Carrots, grated or sliced very thin (potato peeler)
- Celery, sliced thinly
- Sweet Bell Peppers, sliced
- Radishes, sliced thinly
- Cucumbers, seeded and chopped
- Mushrooms, quartered
- Seedless Grapes, halved
- Orange Segments
- Chick peas, drained
- Beans, white, black, rinsed and drained
- Broccoli, cut into florets
- Cauliflower, cut into florets
- Steamed Beets, chopped
- Other ingredients to try:
- Artichoke hearts, packed in water - drained, chopped
- Hearts of Palm - sliced
- Apples
- Pomegranates
- Sprouts and shoots
- I have made my salads using the following as well:
- grilled chicken, sliced thinly
- deli turkey
- deli salami
- hard cooked eggs, quartered
Sfogliatella - Italian Pastry

Layered Italian pastry - can be individual clam shaped or larger lobster tail shaped
- Dough:
- Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup semolina flour
- Pinch of sea salt
- 1 cup butter, chilled and cut into small cubes
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1/4 cup water
- Shortening Mixture:
- 3 T soft butter
- 2 T vegetable shortening
- 2 T extra light olive oil
- Blend the above until spreadable
- 1 egg, beaten with 1 tablespoon water, for egg wash
- Confectioners' sugar (about 1/2 cup)
- Filling:
- 1 cup whole milk
- 1/4 cup semolina flour
- 1 cup ricotta cheese
- 1 egg
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 2 tablespoons finely chopped mixed candied orange and lemon bits or chocolate chips and finely chopped maraschino cherries
- Ground cinnamon, for dusting
- 2 nonstick baking sheets, or lightly grease your baking sheet, line with parchment paper and lightly grease again
Potato Dominoes

Just looking at these potatoes makes me happy!
- 4 Idaho (baking) potatoes
- 4 tablespoons chilled clarified butter (see below)
- coarse salt (like sea salt or kosher salt)
- Preheat your oven to 400F. Line a rimmed baking sheet with a Silpat, use a nonstick baking sheet or a medium-sized baking dish.
- If you do not wish to make clarified butter, just use regular butter, melted.

- 1 cup peanut butter*
- 1/2 cup butter (no substitutes), softened
- 3 cups confectioners' sugar
- 5 dozen miniature pretzel twists (about 3 cups)
- 1 1/2 cups milk chocolate chips
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
