Homemade Apple Sauce

This may be one of the best things I’ve ever made
- 13 small apples (about 1 bag)
- 1 lemon, juice of
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 4 Tablespoon. brown sugar
- 1/3 cup apple juice
Ground Beef & Barley Soup

1. In a large sauce pan or stock pot, heat olive oil
- 2 Tablespoons olive oil
- 1 small onion, diced
- 3 carrots, peeled and diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 cup pearl barley
- 4 potatoes, peeled and diced
- 6 cups beef stock or broth
- 1 15 oz. can diced or crushed tomatoes
- 1 cup frozen peas
- 1/2 lb. ground beef, cooked and drained
- 2 teaspoons Italian seasoning
- Additional salt and pepper, to taste
Bisquick Mix

In a large bowl, mix all ingredients with electric mixer until particles are small and uniform in size
- 10 1/2 c flour
- 1/4 c baking powder
- 1 1/2 T salt
- 1/2 c sugar
- 2 c shortening
- 1 c buttermilk powder
- 1 1/2 t baking soda
Almond Pastry Puffs

- PASTRY:
- 2 cups all-purpose flour, divided
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup cold butter, divided
- 2 tablespoons plus 1 cup cold water, divided
- 1/4 teaspoon almond extract
- 3 eggs

- 1 1/2 cups confectioners' sugar
- 2 tablespoons butter, softened
- 4 teaspoons water
- 1/4 teaspoon almond extract
- 2/3 cup chopped almonds, toasted
Baked Creamed Corn w/ Red Peppers

- 1 cup heavy cream
