- 2/3 cup buttermilk
- 1 teaspoon dried onion
- 1 teaspoon Bon Appetit or Beau Monde seasoning
- 1 teaspoon dill weed
- 1 teaspoon parsley
- 11/2 teaspoon dried chives
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/8 teaspoon dried mustard
- 1/4 teaspoon vinegar
- Pepper to taste

- Salad:
- 1 bag mixed greens
- 1 cup frozen sweet corn, thawed
- 1/8 finely diced red onion

- BUTTERMILK RECIPE:
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 stick unsalted butter, softened
- 2/3 cup plus 1 1/2 tablespoons sugar, divided
- 1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- 1 large egg (Use 1/2 cup buttermilk instead of the egg as an alternative)
- 1/2 cup well-shaken buttermilk
- 1 cup fresh strawberries (about 5 oz)

- You can use store-bought buttermilk – make sure it is not too sour. But if you cannot find it, you can always make your own Buttermilk at home.
- Take 1 scant cup of milk and add 1 Tbsp. of lemon juice or vinegar to it. Let it stand for 5 minutes, and then stir well to get homemade buttermilk in minutes!
