Mom's Bread Recipe

Put together the warm water and yeast
- 2 cups warm water
- 1 package yeast
- 1 stick of butter, melted
- dash salt
- 1 egg, beated
- 4 cups self-rising flour
Lamb Desi

Using a sharp knife cut lamb into small, even sized pieces
- 1 or 2 chopped green chilli (dependent on preference)
- 200 grams (7 ounces) chopped tomato
- 1/2 kilo (one pound) of lean Scottish lamb on or off the bone
- 150 ml (5 ounces), vegetable oil
- 1 large white onion
- 1 teaspoon fresh root ginger
- 1 clove of garlic
- 1 teaspoon of tumeric
- 1 teaspoon of garam masala
- 1 teaspoon of cumin
- 1/2 to 1 teaspoon chilli powder (dependant on taste)
- Pinch of salt
- 1 green pepper
- Bunch of corriander
- Quarter pint (150ml) water
- Natural yogurt (table spoon)
Ken’s Cookie Bars

• 1 (15-ounce) can sweetened condensed milk Step 1 Preheat oven to 350°
- • 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs (about 9 cookie sheets)
- • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
- • 1 tablespoon water
- • 1/3 cup semisweet chocolate chips
- • 1/3 cup butterscotch morsels
- • 2/3 cup flaked sweetened coconut
- • 1/4 cup chopped salted almonds, toasted
- • 1 (15-ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
Herb-Roasted Turkey Breast

Preheat the oven to 325 degrees
- 1 whole bone-in turkey breast (6 ½ to 7 pounds)
- 2 tablespoons good olive oil
- 1 tablespoon minced garlic (3 cloves)
- 2 teaspoons freshly squeezed lemon juice
- 2 teaspoons dry mustard
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh rosemary leaves
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh sage leaves
- 1 teaspoon chopped fresh thyme leaves
- 1 1/2 1 ½ teaspoons kosher salt
- 1/2 ½ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- 3/4 ¾ cup dry white wine
Pear Dessert

Crust - mix and put in 8-inch square pan
- 1/2 ½ cup butter
- 3/4 ¾ cup flour
- 2/3-cup sugar
- 1/4 ¼ teaspoon vanilla extract
- 8 ounces cream cheese
- 1/4 ¼ cup sugar
- 1/2 ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 egg
- 1 medium can pears
- Cinnamon
Hot Chicken Dip

Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees
- 2 - 8 ounce packages cream cheese
- 1 can cream of chicken soup
- 1 - 12.5 ounce can premium chunk white chicken breast in water
- 1/3 cup coarsley chopped pickled jalapeno peppers
- 1 tablespoon pickled jalapeno pepper juice
Homemade Chicken Soup

Put the chicken, carrots, celery and onion in a large soup pot and cover with cold water
- 1 (3 pound) whole chicken
- 4 carrots, halved
- 4 stalks celery, halved
- 1 large onion, halved water to cover
- salt and pepper to taste
- 1 teaspoon chicken bouillon granules

Swiss Chard

1 Rinse out the Swiss chard leaves thoroughly
- 1 large bunch of fresh Swiss chard
- 1 small clove garlic, sliced
- 2 Tbsp olive oil
- 2 Tbsp water
- Pinch of dried crushed red pepper
- 1 teaspoon butter
- Salt
Old New Orleans Pecan Pralines

Prepare a flat surface with newspaper covered with waxed paper to receive the pralines
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup white sugar
- 1/2 cup water
- 2 tablespoons butter or margarine
- 1 cup pecan pieces
