Amish Sugar Cookie

Cream the first 3 ingredients until fluffy
- 1 c sugar
- 1 c powdered sugar
- 1 c soft butter
- 2 eggs
- 1 c oil
- 2 tsp vanilla
- 4 1/2 c flour
- 1 tsp soda
- 1 tsp cream of tartar
Snickerdoodles

Mix all ingredients thoroughly
- 1 c soft shortening
- 1 1/2 c sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2 3/4 c flour
- 2 tsp cream of tartar
- 1 tsp soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
Biscuits

Put the chilled Crisco in the flour mixture with a pastry blender until coarse crumbs form
- 2 c flour
- 1 T baking powder
- 3/4 t salt
- 1/2 t soda
- 5 T chilled Crisco
- 1 c buttermilk (use 1 c milk with a dash of dark vinegar in it)

- corn
Bacon Cheddar Puffs

Combine milk and butter in medium saucepan
- 1 c milk
- 1/4 c butter
- 1 c flour
- 4 large eggs
- 1 c shredded sharp or mild cheddar cheese
- 8 slices bacon, cooked crisp, crumbled
- 1/2 tsp. onion salt or powder
- 1/4 tsp. garlic salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper

- 2 white cake mixes
- 5 eggs
- 2/3 c oil
- 1 pkg white chips
- 1 c walnuts
French Apple Pie

Preheat oven 400. Prepare pastry for a 2 crust pie
- 6 cups apples
- 1/2 cup raisins
- 2/3 cup sugar
- 1 T cornstarch
- 1/2 t cinnamon
- 1 T lemon juice
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 2 T water

- 1 1/4 cup sour cream
- 2 1/4 cup flour
