French Apple Pie

Ingredients

  • 6 cups apples
  • 1/2 cup raisins
  • 2/3 cup sugar
  • 1 T cornstarch
  • 1/2 t cinnamon
  • 1 T lemon juice
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 T water

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven 400.

Prepare pastry for a 2 crust pie.

Spread apples in pan. Sprinkle raisins over apples. Mix sugar, cornstarch and cinnamon. Sprinkle over apples. Drizzle lemon juice over apples.

Bake 45-60 min. until apples are tender.

Cool pie.

Mix powdered sugar and water to make a thick frosting. Spread on slightly warm pie.
