Place the sugar, 1 cup water, orange zest, juice and vanilla bean in a small pan and stir to dissolve the sugar
- 1 cup sugar
- Zest and juice of 1 orange
- 1 vanilla bean
- 4 pints strawberries, hulled and halved
- 2 pints blueberries
- 2 cups green grapes, halved
- 2 cups red grapes, halved
- Fresh mint leaves
Apple Chips with Sweet Yogurt Dip (Giada)

For the chips: Place 1 rack at the top and 1 at the bottom position and preheat the oven to 300 degrees F
- Topping:
- Vegetable oil cooking spray
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- Apple Chips:
- 1 red Gala apple
- One 6-ounce Granny Smith apple
- Dip:
- 1 1/2 cups plain 2 percent or whole milk Greek yogurt
- 3 tablespoons pure maple syrup
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Pinch salt

Creamy Broccoli Pasta

Put the broccoli florets in a saucepan with about 1 inch of water
- 8 ounces pasta
- 1 bunch cooked broccoli florets, drained, or about 4 cups of florets*
- 5 medium fresh basil leaves
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 3/4 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Dash salt (or to taste)
- Dash freshly ground black pepper (or to taste)
Yogurt Pops (The Kitchen)

Mix together the yogurt, granola and maple syrup in a large bowl
- One 32-ounce container of your favorite yogurt
- 2 cups of your favorite granola
- 1/4 cup maple syrup, honey or jam

In a jar or another container with a lid, whisk together milk, yogurt, honey, and vanilla
- 1/2 cup skim milk or vanilla almond milk
- 1/4 cup plain nonfat Greek yogurt
- 1 teaspoon honey
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1/2 cup rolled oats
- 1/2 cup any fruit
Pizza Pockets (Giada)

Heat the olive oil over medium-high heat in a medium-sized, heavy skillet
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 8 ounces Italian turkey sausage
- 1 cup tightly-packed arugula (about 1 ounce)
- 4 ounces cream cheese, room temperature
- 1/3 cup grated Parmesan, plus 1/4 cup
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- 1 (13.5-ounce) package of store-bought pizza crust (recommended: Pillsbury)
- All-purpose flour, for rolling out pizza dough
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
- 1 1/2 cups marinara sauce, store-bought or homemade
Chinese Style Broccoli with Mushrooms

1. Blanch broccoli in boiling water for half a minute, then remove and drain
- Seasoning:
- 1 large head of broccoli – cut into florets
- 8 shiitake mushrooms – sliced
- Half a carrot - sliced thinly
- 1 garlic clove - minced
- 1 inch ginger - sliced thinly
- Half a medium-sized red onion – chopped
- 2 tablespoons oil
- Dash of sesame oil
- 1-1/2 tablespoons oyster sauce
- 2 teaspoons cornstarch - dissolved in some water
- to and white pepper to taste
Waikiki Meatballs

1. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, cracker crumbs, onion, egg, milk, ginger and salt
- 1 1/2 pounds ground beef
- 2/3 cup crushed saltine cracker crumbs (I use Graham Cracker Crumbs)
- 1/3 cup minced onion
- 1 egg
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 1/2 teaspoons ground ginger
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
- 1 (15 ounce) can pineapple chunks -
- drained, with juice reserved
- 1/3 cup white vinegar
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1/3 cup chopped green bell pepper
