- 2 1⁄3 cups all-purpose flour
- 3 ⁄4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

- 3 ⁄4 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 ⁄2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 1⁄2 cups buttermilk
- 8 ounces cream cheese, at room temperature
- 1 ⁄2 cup butter, at room temperature
- 1 ⁄2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 4 cups confectioners' sugar, sifted
