- 2 teaspoons sugar
- 3 cups all-purpose flour, plus bench flour
- 1 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- Filling:
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan, plus extra for the tops
- 6 ounces thinly sliced salami
- 6 ounces thinly sliced deli ham
- 6 ounces thinly sliced bresaola
- 8 thin slices mozzarella (about 6 ounces)
- 8 thin slices pepper jack cheese (about 6 ounces total)
- 1/4 cup finely sliced fresh basil leaves
