- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 2 tablespoons milk
- 3-4 cups powdered sugar

- 1/2 lb (2 sticks) unsalted butter (at room temp)
- 1 cup light brown sugar, packed
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
- 2 eggs (at room temp)
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/4 lb semisweet chocolate jumbo chips or chunks
