These cookies turned out brilliantly- moist and chewy for days if kept in a covered container
- 1/2 cup rolled oats regular or quick
- 2 1/4 cups Gold Medal® All-Purpose Flour
- 1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup (2 sticks) butter
- 8 ounces cream cheese (don't use low fat)
- 3/4 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
- 3/4 cup granulated white sugar
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon freshly squeezed lemon juice
- 2 cups (or more) chocolate chips or M&M's

- 2 1/4 cups bread flour (or all purpose)
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 1/4 cups packed brown sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 egg yolk
- 2 tablespoons milk
- 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 cup shredded coconut (toasted or plain)
- 1/2 cup macadamia nuts, loosely chopped (you want nice, big chunks)
