Thousand dollar bars

Crust: Preheat your oven to 300°F
- Shortbread layer:
- 1 cup (2 sticks) salted butter, at room temperature
- 1 cup confectioners' sugar
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2 cups King Arthur Unbleached All-Purpose Flour
- Caramel layer:
- 2 cups caramel, cut into small chunks
- 3 tablespoons heavy cream
- Chocolate layer:
- 3 cups chopped milk chocolate or dark chocolate, melted
- 1 tablespoon vegetable shortening (optional)
Slow Cooker Turtle Monkey Bread

1 Spray 4 1/2- to 5-quart slow cooker with cooking spray
- 2/3 cup packed brown sugar
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 can (16.3 oz) refrigerated buttermilk biscuits
- 3/4 cup pecan halves
- 2 tablespoons whipping cream
- 1/3 cup milk chocolate chips
Praline Brownies

Heat oven to 350° F. Spray bottom only of 13 x 9-inch pan with cooking spray
- or use this:
- 1 box (1 lb 2.3 oz) Betty Crocker® fudge brownie mix
- plus the water, vegetable oil and eggs as called for on brownie mix box
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans
- Praline Frosting
- 1/2 cup whipping cream
- 6 tablespoons butter
- 1 1/2 cups packed brown sugar
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans, toasted
- 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- Fake Betty Crocker Brownie Mix:
- 1 Cup Sugar
- 1/2 Cup Flour
- 1/3 Cup Cocoa
- 1/4 teaspoon Salt
- 1/4 teaspoon Baking Powder
- Mix all these ingredients together with a whisk and dump them into a zipper bag. On the bag, add the following instructions:
- Add: 2 Eggs, 1/2 Cup Vegetable Oil, 1 teaspoon Vanilla. Bake @ 350 degrees for 20-25 minutes in a 9 x 9 pan.

- For the dough:
- 480/500 g of plain flour -
- 140 g olive oil –
- 140 g of white wine –
- 2 or 3 tablespoons of sugar-
- 1 pinch salt.
- For the filling:
- 400 g of Amarene marmalade (sour cherries) -
- 100 g almonds, chopped -
- finely grated lemon zest of 1 lemon -
- 3 or 4 tablespoons bread crumbs –
- 5 or 6 crushed biscuits (like Lorna Doone).
Chicken Cordon bleu 3

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F
- 4 chicken breasts skinless and boneless
- 4 thin slices ham
- 1/2 pound mozzerlla, grated
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper
- 1 cup panko bread crumbs
- 4 sprigs fresh thyme, leaves only
- 1 clove garlic, peeled and finely minced
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 2 eggs
- Extra-virgin olive oil
Caramel Sauce

Replacing the water with cider gives this sauce a nice caramel-apple tang
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup water or apple cider
- 1/3 cup heavy cream
- 4 tablespoons butter, optional
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
Chocolate Doughnut Glaze

Combine butter, milk, corn syrup, and vanilla in medium saucepan and heat over medium heat until butter is melted
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1/4 cup whole milk, warmed
- 1 tablespoon light corn syrup
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 4 ounces bittersweet chocolate, chopped
- 2 cups confectioners' sugar, sifted
Coconut Cream Mini Cheesecakes

1) HEAT oven to 350°F. PLACE 1 wafer, flat-side down, in each of 24 paper-lined muffin cups
- Variation:
- 24 NILLA Wafers
- 2 pkg. (8 oz. each) PHILADELPHIA Cream Cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup plus 3 Tbsp. sugar, divided
- 2 eggs
- 1 Tbsp. lemon zest
- 1 cup BREAKSTONE'S or KNUDSEN Sour Cream
- 1/4 cup BAKER'S ANGEL FLAKE Coconut, toasted
- Omit sour cream, 3 Tbsp. sugar (for topping) and coconut. Top cheesecakes with thawed COOL WHIP Whipped Topping and fresh strawberries just before serving.

1. Place chickpeas, cucumber, tomatoes, cheese, onion, dressing and pepper in a medium bowl
- 1 can chickpeas, rinsed
- 3 cups cucumber, peeled, seeded and diced
- 2 cups grape tomatoes, halved (or cherry tomatoes)
- 1/4 cup crumbled reduced-fat feta cheese
- 1/4 cup red onion, diced
- 1/2 cup Creamy Dill Ranch Dressing, recipe follows
- Freshly ground pepper, to taste
