Orange-Sage Sweet Potatoes with Bacon

1. Place sweet potato slices in a 5- to 6-quart slow cooker
- 4 pounds sweet potatoes, peeled and cut into 1/4-inch-thick slices (about 10 cups)
- 1/2 cup frozen orange juice concentrate, thawed
- 3 tablespoons packed brown sugar
- 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
- 1/2 teaspoon dried leaf sage, crushed
- 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme, crushed
- 2 tablespoons butter, cut up
- 4 slices bacon, crisp-cooked and crumbled
Peanut Butter Cup Cookies

1.Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C)
- 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 1/2 cup white sugar

- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Danish Goulash

Cut meat into 1/4 inch cubes; brown well in hot oil with pepper

Garlic Bread with Cheese

- 1 baguette
- 1/4 cup cup(50 mL) butter, softened
- 2 minced cloves of garlic
- 2 tbsp(25 mL) chopped fresh parsley
- 1 cup (250 mL) shredded Asiago cheese or fontina cheese

- 1/2 kg bean sprouts
