- 1/2 to 3/4 cup chopped white or yellow onion

Spinach Salad with Sugared Walnuts

- 2 cups walnut halves
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 tbsp water
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 3 tbsp orange juice
- 2 tbsp red wine vinegar or balsamic vinegar

- 3 cups torn spinach
- 3 cups torn baby greens
