  • 2 oz. (1/4 cup) unsalted butter, cut into 5 or 6 pieces
  • 2 oz. unsweetened chocolate, coarsely chopped
  • Scant 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. pure vanilla extract
  • 1/8 tsp. table salt
  • 1 cold large egg
  • 1 Tbs. all-purpose flour
