1. Cook bacon in large skillet over medium heat until crisp, about 6 minutes
- 8 bacon slices
- 1 1/4 cups flour
- 3/4 cup yellow cornmeal
- 2 1/4 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda

- 2 large eggs
- 3 tablespoons maple syrup
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter (1/2 stick) melted, cooled
