- 1 (12 fluid ounce) can or bottle cola-flavored carbonated beverage
- 1/2 cup freshly brewed strong coffee
- 1/4 cup rice vinegar
- 2 tablespoons ketchup
- 1 1/2 teaspoons freshly ground black pepper
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon crushed dried rosemary
- 1/4 teaspoon Louisiana-style hot sauce, or to taste
- 1 (1 1/4 pound) beef skirt steak - trimmed of large fat chunks
- salt to taste
- 1 pinch cayenne pepper, or to taste

- 1 lb. thinly sliced smoked deli chicken
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon freshly ground pepper
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh basil
- 1/2 teaspoon lemon zest
- 8 sourdough bread slices
- 1/2 pound smoked Gouda cheese, sliced
- 1 cup loosely packed baby spinach
- 1/4 cup thinly sliced sun-dried tomatoes
- 3 tablespoons butter, melted
Creole Seasoning

Mini Egg Pastries with Bearnaise Sauce

Let piecrusts stand at room temperature 15 minutes
- 1 15-ounce package (2 crusts) rolled refrigerated unbaked piecrust
- Nonstick cooking spray
- 1 tablespoon coarse-ground mustard
- 8 ounces thick-sliced bacon, crisp-cooked, drained, and crumbled
- 12 eggs
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper
- 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese (6 ounces)
- Bearnaise Sauce (recipe follows) or your favorite Hollandaise sauce
- Fresh fruit and cinnamon rolls (optional)
- 1/4 cup dry white wine
- 1/4 cup dry vermouth, champagne vinegar or white wine vinegar
- 1 large shallot, finely chopped
- 2 tablespoons loosely packed fresh tarragon leaves
- 1/4 teaspoon sea salt or salt
- 1/8 teaspoon ground white pepper
- 4 egg yolks, lightly beaten
- 1 tablespoon water
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, cut into 2-tablespoon-sized pieces and softened
- 1/2 teaspoon snipped fresh Italian (flat-leaf) parsley
- 1/2 teaspoon lemon juice
- 1/4 teaspoon snipped fresh tarragon or chervil

- Frosting:
- 1 Duncan Hines Devil’s Food Cake mix
- 2 tsp. pumpkin pie spice
- 2/3 cup canned pumpkin
- 1/4 cup softened unsalted butter OR 1/4 cup canola oil
- 3 large eggs
- 3/4 cup water
- 1 cup mini chocolate chips (optional)
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 Tbls. milk + 1 tsp. vanilla extract + sprinkle of pumpkin spice blend

- 1-1/2 cups finely ground graham cracker crumbs
- 2 tablespoons white sugar
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 – 8 oz. pkgs light cream cheese and 1 – 8 oz. pkg regular cream cheese, softened
- 3/4 cup white sugar
- 1 cup sour cream
- 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 4 eggs
- 1/2 cup key lime juice
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
