Shoepeg Corn Pudding

AKA: "hot corn" Note: it gets hotter the longer it sits in the container
- 3 cans shoepeg corn (drained)
- 1 sm. can chopped jalapeno peppers
- 1 stick butter
- 4 tbsp flour
- 12 oz. cream cheese
- 1 can milk
Apricot Filling

Cook apricots in water for about 30 minutes, until tender
- 1 cup dried apricots, chopped
- 2 cups water
- 1/2 cups sugar
- 2 tablespoons brandy, (opt)
Emily's Banana Pudding

Make pudding according to box
- 2 sm. boxes vanilla pudding
- 1 can Eagle Brand Milk
- 1 8oz. tub sour cream
- 1 8oz. tub cool whip
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 box Nilla wafers
- 5 bananas or however many you want
Orange Filling

Peel orange and scrape away white membrane
- 1 medium orange
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1 1/2 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 tablespoon grated orange peel
- 2 teaspoons butter
- 1/4 cup orange juice
Easy Punch

You can add food coloring to make it a pretty reddish pink fruity looking color
- 1 lg. can pineapple juice
- 1 sm. can frozen lemonade
- 1 sm. pkg lemon jello
- 1 1/2 c. sugar
- 1/4 tsp almond extract
- Add enough water to make 1 gallon
Lindsey's Orange Chicken

While Brian was at college in Alva, we kept hearing about Lindsey Rhodes' Orange Chicken
- 1 bag of frozen stir-fry mixed vegetables
- 1 cup of honey
- 1 cup of orange marmalade
- 1 tsp chili powder
- Diced chicken, breaded (frozen chicken nuggets or strips cut into small pieces work well)
Granmommie's 2 hour Rolls

- 2 cups warm water
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 3 tbsp. melted shortening or oil
- 7-8 cups sifted flour
- 2 pkg. dry yeast
- 1 tbsp. salt
Venison Stew

Brown meat in small amount of cooking oil
- 1 pound deer stew meat
- 1 onion, chopped
- 3 carrots, peeled and sliced
- 3 stalks celery, sliced
- 1 large potato, peeled and chopped
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes
- 1 can beef broth + 1 can water
- 3 bay leaves
- 1 teaspoon oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon thyme (optional)
- 1-2 teaspoons salt
- pepper to taste
- Optional (add 1 cup bulgur during last 15 minutes of cooking)
Easy Oven Brisket

- 1 trimmed beef brisket
- 4 oz. bottle Liquid Smoke
- celery salt
- onion powder
- garlic powder
- salt
- Worcestershire sauce
- barbecue sauce
Dump Cake
