  • Carmelized Almonds:
  • 1 10-ounce package Romaine lettuce
  • 3 green onions, sliced
  • 1 pint fresh strawberries sliced
  • 1/2 cup sliced almonds
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 2 tablespoons poppy seeds
  • 2 tablespoons cider vinegar
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 3/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 teaspoons almond extract
  • 1/2 cup sliced almonds
  • 3 Tbls sugar
  • Heat and stir in heavy pan till light brown and carmelized. Cool and set aside
  • Dressing - mix - refrigerate:
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 2 Tbsp poppy seed
  • 2 Tbsp cider vinegar
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 3/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tsp almond extract
  • Toss all together, just before serving
