Pan-Fried Baked Potatoes

Heat butter and oil in large skillet over medium-high heat
- 1/4 cup (1/2 stick) butter
- 1/4 cup oil
- 6-7 large potatoes, baked, peeled and sliced into rounds, 1/2 inch thick
- 4 green onions, minced
- 1/4 tsp. caraway seed
- Salt and freshly ground pepper
- 1 cup sour cream
Sauteed Red-Skinned Apples

1. Wash the apples in cold water and pat dry
- 4 medium, tart, red-skinned apples (such as Fuji or Gala)
- 6 tbsp. butter
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 1/2 to 2 tsp. ground cinnamon
Mama's Pound Cake

Preheat oven to 325 degrees
- 1/2 lb. (2 sticks) butter
- 1/2 cup Crisco shortening
- 3 cups sugar
- 5 eggs
- 3 cups flour
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1 cup milk
- 1 tsp. vanilla
Strawberry Fruit Soup

Blend all ingredients in a food processor or blender
- 2 10 oz. packages frozen strawberries, thawed
- 1 pint fresh strawberries, hulled and washed
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/4 cup lemon juice
- 1 tbsp. cinnamon
- 1 cup heavy cream
- strawberry slices for garnish
- whipped cream for garnish
KOREAN BBQ SHORT RIBS

Classic Pot Pie

Heat oven to 425 degrees. Prepare pie crusts as directed on pkg
- Crust
- 1 15oz. pkg. Pillsbury Refrigerated Pie Crust
- Filling
- 1/3 cup butter
- 1/3 cup chopped onion
- 1/3 cup flour
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 1 1/2 cups chicken broth
- 2/3 cup milk
- 2 1/2 to 3 cups shredded cooked chicken or turkey
- 2 cups frozen mixed vegetables, thawed
Cocktail Meatballs

Mix beef, crumbs, onion, mustard, salt, pepper, eggs and milk
- Meatballs:
- 4 lbs. ground beef
- 4 cups bread crumbs
- 1/4 cup chopped onion
- 1/2 tsp. dry mustard
- 3 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 2/3 cup milk
- 1/4 cup lard or drippings
- Sauce:
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 2 tsp. ginger
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/4 cup cornstarch
- 2 cups pineapple juice
- 1 cup vinegar
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
Raisin Oatmeal Cookies

Combine all ingredients except nuts in a large bowl
- 1 pkg. 2-layer size yellow cake mix
- 2 cups quick-cooking rolled oats
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
- 1 (1 lb. 6oz.)can raisin pie filling
- 2 eggs
- 1/4 cup salad oil
- 1 cup chopped walnuts
Tomatoes Vinaigrette

Cut tomatoes in thin slices and place in a bowl
- 4 large tomatoes, peeled
- 6 tbsp. chopped fresh parsley
- 1 clove garlic, crushed
- 6 tbsp. olive oil
- 2 tbsp. cider vinegar
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. dried basil
- 1/8 tsp. pepper
BROWN SUGAR CANDIED BACON

- 1 LB. QUALITY THICK CUT REGULAR OR APPLEWOOD BACON ( I JUST USE THE PRE COOKED BACON FOR BREAKFAST)
- 1/2 CUP PACKED LIGHT OR DARK BROWN SUGAR
- 1 TEA. SPICY DRY MUSTARD
- 2 TEA. CHILI POWDER
- 1/4 TEA. CAJUN SEASONING OR CAYENNE PEPPER
- CHOPPED PECANS (OPTIONAL)
