- 4 Tbs kosher salt
- 3 Tbs brown sugar

Super-Spiced Spiced Shrimp

Fingers worth licking and plenty of zesty flavor are the main rewards of this easy to make but messy to eat starter
- 1/2 cup prepared horseradish
- 1/3 cup olive oil
- 1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
- 1 - 1 1/2 tsp hot pepper sauce (tabasco)
- 2 quarts water
- 1 12 oz bottle amber beer
- 10 small dried chilies (such as chili de aqrbol)
- 8 garlic cloves, peeled
- 1 Tbs yellow mustard seeds
- 4 bay leaves
- 2 lbs uncooked medium shrimp, peeled
- 1 large lemon, thinly sliced
- 1 Tbs salt
Hot Dog Topping

Great on hot dogs and hamburgers too
- 2 Tbs olive oil
- 8 cremini mushrooms, sliced into 1/4 inch slices
- 1 small onion, halved and sliced thin
- 1 red pepper, thinly sliced
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1.4 tsp dried oregano
- 2/3 cup yellow or red cherry tomatoes, halved
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella
Classic Meat Lasagne

Heat oil in a large saucepan over medium heat
- 1 Tbs olive oil
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 4 cloves garlic, finely chopped
- 2 1/4 pounds ground meat loaf mix (beef, pork, veal)
- 1 can (28.5 oz) crushed tomatoes
- 1 can (15.5 oz) crushed tomatoes
- 2 Tbs tomato paste
- 1 tsp dried Italian seasoning
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 5 Tbs chopped fresh basil
- 12 lasagna noodles
- 1 container (15 oz) ricotta cheese
- 2 eggs
- 1/3 cup shredded parmesan cheese
- 3 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 2 cups shredded Italian cheese blend
Spinach-Stuffed Beef Tenderloin

In a large nonstick skillet, saute mushrooms and onions in 1 Tbs oil for 2 minutes
- 1/2 pound fresh mushrooms, chopped
- 4 green onions, sliced
- 2 Tbs olive or canola oil, divided
- 2 garlic cloves, minced, divided
- 2 packages (10 oz each) fresh spinach leaves
- 1 tsp salt, divided
- 1/8-1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
- 1 whole beef tenderloin (about 3 1/3 pounds),trimmed
- 1/4 tsp onion powder
- 1/4 tsp pepper
Chicken Pot Pie

Let pie crust stand at room temperature according to package directions
- 1 9" folded refrigerated unbaked piecrust
- 1 pound cooked chopped chicken or ground turkey
- 2 cups loose-packed frozen mixed vegetables (such as broccoli, green beans, onion, and red peppers), thawed and drained well
- 1 11-oz can mushroom soup
- 1 5-oz can (2/3 cup) evaporated milk
- 1/4 tsp dried thyme, crushed
- 1 beaten egg white
- 1 Tbs water
- Sesame seeds
Basic Mashed Potatoes

In 3-qt saucepan over high heat, heat potatoes and enough water to cover to boiling
- 3 pounds all-purpose potatoes, peeled and cut into 1 inch chunks
- 4 Tbs margarine or butter (1/2 stick)
- 1 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 cup hot milk
Saucy Baked Pork Chops

Heat oven to 400 degrees Place chops in 8-inch square baking dish
- 4 bone-in center-cut pork chops (1 lb.)
- 1/2 cup barbecue sauce
- 2 Tbs peach or apricot preserves
- 1 tsp ground ginger
- 1 tsp garlic powder

- 2 1/4 cup flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 c butter
- 1/4 c sugar
- 3/4 c firmly packed brown sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 pkg (3 oz) vanilla instant pudding
- 2 eggs
- 12 oz chocolate chips
- 1 c nuts, chopped
