Horseradish Sauce

Fold together first 4 ingredients in a medium bowl
- 1 1/3 cups sour cream
- 1/2 cup whipping cream, whipped to soft peaks
- 6 TBSP. prepared horseradish
- 1 1/2 tsp. Dijon mustard
- 2-3 tsp. fresh lemon juice
- 1/2 tsp. sugar
Marinara Sauce

Cook pasta according to directions
- 3 TBSP. olive oil
- 6 thinly-sliced garlic cloves
- Pinch of red pepper flakes
- 1 (28 oz.) can San Marzano plum tomatoes, crushed
- 1 c. water
- handful of torn basil leaves
- 1 lb. cooked pasta
- Salt to taste
Frozen Cranberry Salad

Whip dream whip using directions on package
- 1 can whole cranberries
- 1 can drained, crushed pineapple
- 1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
- 1 envelope dream whip
- pecan pieces
Hot Chicken Salad

Mix together and set aside in baking dish
- 2 cups cut-up pre-cooked chicken
- 1 cup thinly-sliced celery
- 1/2 cups chopped almonds
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2 tsp. grated onion
- 1 cup mayonnaise
- 2 Tbsp.lemonjuice
- 1/2 cup grated sharp cheese

- 2 garlic cloves, chopped
- 2 shallots, chopped fine
- 1 small red onion, chopped
- 1/4 cup dry red wine
- 1 cup chicken broth or fish stock
- 1 vine-ripened beefsteak tomato, peeled, seeded, and chopped
- 3 lbs. black mussels (preferably cultivated), scrubbed and beards pulled off
- 1 tsp. chopped fresh chives
- 1 tsp. chopped fresh tarragon leaves if desired

Place shredded cabbage in a covered dish in the refrigerator for several hours
- 1 1/2 lbs. shredded green cabbage
- 1 tsp. salt
- 2/3 c. granulated sugar
- 1 cup whipping cream
- 1/3 c. vinegar

Drain off apple juice and stir in brown sugar and butter
- 1 can Comstock sliced apples
- 1 c. light brown sugar
- 1/2 stick or more of butter

- 2 sticks butter, melted
- 4 eggs, beaten
- 2 c. sugar
- 2 tsp. vanilla
- 2 tsp. white vinegar
- 1 c. broken pecan pieces
- 1 c. white or dark raisins
- 1 can coconut

- 1 c. water
- 1/2 stick unsalted margarine
Morton's Caesar Salad (Chicago)

Blend first 7 ingredients in food processor
- 3/4 c. olive oil
- 1/4 c. red wine vinegar
- 6 anchovy fillets, minced
- 4 tsp. minced garlic
- 1 TBSP. fresh lemon juice
- 1 TBSP. dijon mustard
- 1 tsp. white pepper
- 1 c. freshly grated parmesan cheese (3 oz.)
- 1 large head romaine lettuce, torn into bite-size pieces
- Additional freshly grated Parmesan cheese
