- 8 cups of beef stock, chicken stock, or a combination of the two (traditionally the soup is made with beef stock)
- 1/2 cup of dry vermouth or dry white wine
- 1 bay leaf
- 1/4 teaspoon of dry thyme
- Salt and pepper
- 8 slices of toasted French bread
- 1 1/2 cups of grated Swiss Gruyere with a little grated Parmesan cheese
Turkey Stuffing

f using French bread, tear into pieces
- 1 loaf French bread or 14 oz. bag of bread croutons
- 2 cups chopped onion
- 1 1/2 cups chopped celery, including the leaves
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1-2 cups chicken broth, depending upon preference
- 2 tsp. sage
- 2 tsp. poultry seasoning
- 1 tsp. marjoram
- 1 tsp. salt, or to taste
- 1 tsp. pepper, or to taste
- 1/2 tsp. thyme
- optional - 1 or 2 tart apples such as Granny Smith, peeled and chopped
Port Wine Braised Beef Shank

Place a large dutch oven or stock-pot with a tight fitting lid over medium high heat
- 1.5 to 3 lbs beef shank
- 1 large onion, halved and sliced
- 4 cloves garlic, peeled and lightly smashed
- 1 tbsp Italian Seasoning
- 1/2 cup Port Wine
- Vegetable Stock, to cover
- Olive Oil, for searing
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Watercress as a garnish (optional)

Heat oven to 350°F. 2. If using crescent rolls: Unroll dough; separate into 2 long rectangles
- 1 can (8 oz) Pillsbury® refrigerated crescent dinner rolls or 1 can (8 oz) Pillsbury® Crescent Recipe Creations® refrigerated seamless dough sheet
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 2 teaspoons honey
- 2 oz smoked salmon, finely chopped (1/2 cup)
- 2 tablespoons finely chopped red onion
- 2 teaspoons chopped fresh dill weed
- 16 sprigs fresh dill weed
