In a large skillet, melt 1/4 cup butter over medium heat
- 1/4 cup plus 1 tablespoon unsalted butter, divided
- 1/2 pound medium parsnips, cut into 1/2-in. slices
- 1/2 pound carrots, cut into 1/2 inch slices
- 2/3 cup maple syrup
- 1 medium sweet onion, thinly sliced

Brown Sugar Bacon Dogs

- 1 (16 ounce) package hot dogs
- 16 slices bacon, cut into thirds
- 2 cups packed brown sugar

To make dough: Sift flour and salt into a large bowl
- Dough:
- 1 1/3 cups all-purpose flour
- Pinch of salt
- 2/3 cup chilled butter, cut into small pieces
- 6-8 tablespoons ice water
- Filling:
- 8 ounces butternut squash, peeled and cut into 1 cm cubes
- 1 medium red onion, diced
- 1 clove garlic, crushed
- 1 tablespoon finely chopped sage
- 1 tablespoon finely chopped parsley
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tablespoons pine nuts, toasted
- Sea salt
- Freshly ground white pepper (or black)
- 1 egg, beaten

- 1 (15.25 ounce) can whole kernel corn, drained
- 1 (8 ounce) container sour cream
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 2 tablespoons white sugar
- 1 (8.5 ounce) package corn muffin mix
Herb - Roasted Turkey Rub

Red Bell Pepper Vinegar Dip

- MAKES 11/2 CUPS
- 11/2 cups red bell pepper, seeded, chopped
- 2/3 cup distilled vinegar
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 1/2 t. red pepper flakes
- 1/2 t. cornstarch

1. Preheat oven to 425°. With a sharp knife, cut each potato into 1/8-in

- 2/3 2/3 2/3 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/3 1/3 1/3 cup shredded Parmesan cheese
- 2 2 2 tablespoons each minced fresh chives, sage and thyme
- 2 2. 50-55 5 8 50-55 minutes or until potatoes are tender. In a small bowl, toss cheeses with herbs; sprinkle over potatoes. Bake about 5 minutes longer or until cheese is melted. Yield: 8 servings.
