- 1/3 cup pecan flour (aka pecan meal)
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/3 cup butter, softened
- 1/3 cup white granulated sugar
- 1/3 cup brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2/3 cup milk, room temperature
- 1 egg
- 1/4 teaspoon extra strong butterscotch flavor

Fresh Orange Syrup

Remove the peel from one of the oranges and half a lemon with a vegetable peeler
- 2 small to medium size navel oranges
- 2 lemons
- 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup frozen concentrated orange juice plus 1/4 cup water or 1/2 cup orange juice
- One 3” cinnamon stick
- 2 T Grand Marnier or other orange flavored liqueur (optional)

1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F
- 2 1/4 c all purpose flour
- 2 c sugar
- 3/4 c cocoa, unsweetened (plus 2 T for frosting)
- 1 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 c vegetable oil
- 1 c strong brewed coffee (cooled)
- 3 large eggs
- 1 8 oz sour cream
- 2 tsp pure vanilla extract (reserve 1 for frosting)
- 2 3 oz pkgs cream cheese ( 1 for cream filling 1 for frosting)
- 1/4 c coffee liqueur ( for cream filling)
- 1 8 oz chocolate cool whip (cream filling)
- 1/2 c butter (softened) for frosting
- 2 c confectioners sugar for frosting
- 1/4 c strong brewed coffee (cooled for frosting)
- chocolate covered coffee beans for garnish (optional)

- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 cup + 2 tbsp (250 g) granulated sugar
- 100 g butter (1 scant stick), melted
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 2 large eggs
- 2 very ripe bananas
- 150 g dark chocolate (70%), coarsely chopped (or chocolate chips)
