Frozen Lemonade with Blackberry Puree

In a small bowl, stir together the 1 1/4 cups lemon juice, the orange juice and the 3/4 cup simple syrup
- 1 1/4 cups plus 1 tsp. fresh lemon juice
- 1/3 cup fresh orange juice
- 3/4 cup plus 2 Tbs. simple syrup (see related
- recipe at left)
- 1 pint fresh blackberries, juiced (about 1/3 cup),
- plus more blackberries for garnish
- 4 1/2 cups ice cubes
- 4 fresh mint sprigs
Rice Krispies Treats

- 3 T butter
- 10 oz or 4 c regular marshmallows (add a little more)
- 6 c Rice Krispies Cereal

Mix first 7 ingredients together then add flour a little at a time
- Large Recipe:
- 1/2 c luke warm water
- 2 pkg (2 T) active dry yeast
- 1 1/2 c lukewarm milk (made from powdered milk)
- 1/2 c sugar
- 2 t salt
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 c shortening
- 7 to 7 1/2 c flour
- Small Recipe:
- 1/4 c luke warm water
- 1 pkg (1 T) active dry yeast
- 3/4 c lukewarm milk (made from powdered milk)
- 1/4 c sugar
- 1 t salt
- 1 eggs
- 1/4 c shortening
- 3 1/2 to 3 3/4 c flour
- **Powder Milk:
- 1 c water + 1/3 c powder milk = 1 1/4 c milk
Chipotle Sweet Pulled Pork (Slow Cooker)

Mix all of the Mixed Spices together in a resealable container
- Mixed Spices:
- 1 tablespoon chili powder
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- 2 teaspoons chipotle chili powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon smoked or regular paprika
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- Marinade
- 2.5 lbs pork butt or shoulder, trimmed of all fat (pork tenderloin works better)
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 3/4 cup Coke from 12 oz. Coke can
- 1 tablespoon above Mixed Spices
- Slow Cooker Phase 1
- Remaining Coke from above marinade
- 1/2 cup salsa
- 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
- 1 4 oz. can green chilies
- 2 tablespoons above Mixed Spices
- Slow Cooker Phase 2
- 1/2 cup mild red enchilada sauce
- 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
- 1 4 oz. can green chilies
- All remaining Mixed Spices
- salt to taste
Flour Tortillas

- 5 c flour
- 2 t baking powder
- 1 T salt
- 1/2 c shortening (Crisco)

Oatmeal Jammy Bits Muffins

from King Arthur Flour
- 1 cup King Arthur All-Purpose Unbleached Flour
- 3/4 cup King Arthur 100% White Whole Wheat Flour
- 3/4 cup old-fashioned rolled oats
- 1/2 cup packed light brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1/3 cup vegetable oil or melted, unsalted butter
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 2/3 cup Blueberry Jammy Bits, or the flavor of your choice
- try with dried blueberries, 2 tsp vanilla extract and 1/2 tsp cinnamon
Grilled Vegetables with Basil Vinaigrette

Whisk vinegar, shallot, mustard, salt and pepper
- Basil Vinaigrette:
- 8 zucchini and yellow squash (4 of each), cut crosswise into slices 1/2" thick
- 3 bell peppers, cut into slices
- 12 oz fresh mushrooms, washed and dried
- 24 asparagus spears, trimmed
- Olive oil, salt and pepper
- 1/4 c red wine vinegar
- 1 shallot, finely chopped
- 2 t Dijon mustard
- 1/2 t salt
- 1/4 t pepper
- 1/2 c olive oil
- 2 T chopped fresh basil
Vinegar Cucumbers

Combine cucumbers and onions
- 8 c cucumbers, thinly sliced
- 1 large white or sweet onion
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 1 c apple cider vinegar
- 1 1/2 tsp canning/ pickling salt
- 1 1/2 tsp. mustard seed
- 2 tsp celery seed (optional)
Fresh Strawberry Pie
