Bourbon buttercream

- 2 sticks butter, room temp
- 4 cups powdered sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1-2 tbsp cereal milk
- 3 tbsp bourbon
- cornflake crunch, for topping.
Chile spiced steak and onion tacos

In a small bowl, whisk together oil, chile powder, brown sugar, soy sauce, and lime juice
- 1 tbsp veg oil
- 2 tbsp chile powder
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 2 tbsp fresh lime juice
- 1.5 lbs flank steak
- salt and pepper
- 1 large red onion, cut into rounds
- 12 corn tortillas, warmed
Barley pilaf

In large pot of boiling salted water, cook pearl barley until tender, 35 minutes
- 1 cup pearl barley
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter
- 1 shallot, minced
- salt and pepper
- 1/4 pine nuts, toasted
- 2 tbsp parsley, chopped
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
Chorizo, potato and egg tacos

In a large nonstick skillet with a lid, bring potato to a boil in 1 cup cold water
- 1 medium russet potato, peeled and cut into pieces
- 1/2 lb fresh chorizo, casings removed
- 4 eggs, lightly beaten
- 8 small flour tortillas, warmed
Peppermint Fudge

- 16 oz semisweet chocolate chips
- 1 cup peppermint candies, plus more for garnish
- 3/4 cup heavy cream
- 3 1/2 cups mini marshmallows

- 1 1/4 cups sugar
- 1 tsp salt
