Crispy Crab Nuggets

Ingredients

  • 1 lb fresh crabmeat
  • 3 slices whitebread, crust removed or pkgd bread crumbs
  • 1 egg beaten
  • 1 T. mayo
  • 1 t. dijon mustard
  • 2 t. worchestershire sauce
  • 1 T. Old Bay
  • 1 T. parsley

Preparation

Step 1

Put breadcrumbs in food processor so they are chopped fine (to save time)
In a large bowl, mix together egg, mayo, mustard, worchestershire sauce and Old Bay seasoning.
Add breadcrummbs and crabmeat and mix by hand to avoid breaking up too many lumps. You may need to break up very large lumps, however, so the crab balls will stay together.
Shape in 24 balls and fry in batches in hot oil until golden brown, turning once.
Drain on paper towels.
Serve with you favorite sauce.
