Mushroom Blue Cheese Appetizer

  • 4 T. butter
  • 1 pd. mushrooms
  • pinch nutmeg, garlic powder,pepper
  • 1 tsp. Dijon mustard
  • wine wine to taste
  • 8 oz. cream cheese
  • 3 oz. cream cheese with chives
  • 2 4 oz. pkgs. blue cheese
  • chopped parsley


Servings 8


Step 1

Cut and saute mushrooms in butter until tender. Add the spices, mustard and wine to taste. Keeping on low heat, add the cream cheese and blend until soft. Crumble in the blue cheese, a little at a time, and taste as you stir. ADD MORE SEASONINGS OR WINE TO ADJUST TO PERSONAL TASTE. pUT MIXTURE INTO SERVING BOWL, TOP WITH PARSLEY.

Best served slightly warm.
