Irish Coffee

Traditional Irish coffee recipe that is not too sweet. Enjoy as a warm night cap, or on St. Patrick's day!

Ingredients
- 3 ounces heavy whipping cream
- 3/4 ounce simple syrup, divided
- 5 ounces freshly brewed coffee
- 1 ⁄2 ounce Jameson or other good-quality Irish whiskey

Preparation
Step 1
Mix the heavy whipping cream with 1/4 ounce of the simple syrup until it is thick like whipping cream. This can be in a shaker, or with a mixer.
Combine whisky, 1/2 ounce simple syrup, and coffee in a mug. Top with a few dollops of whipped cream.
