Chicken in Pastry - Love Birds

- 4 pieces skinless chicken breast, boned (about 8 ounces each)
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper
- 2-3 sprigs fresh finely chopped rosemary
- 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil (EVOO)
- 1 sheet puff pastry (11 by 17-inch), (recommended: Dufour)
- 8 slices Italian fontina cheese, slices should be 2-3-inches square and 1/4 to 1/2-inch thick, cut in 1/2
- 1/2 cup fig preserves
- 1 egg mixed with 1 tablespoon water, for egg wash
Crab and Bacon Linguine Recipe

Step 1 Cook linguine according to package instructions; drain, reserving 1⁄4 cup cooking water
- 12 12 12 ounces uncooked linguine
- 4 4 4 ounces thick-cut bacon, coarsely chopped
- 1 1 1⁄2 small sweet onion, finely chopped (about 1⁄2 cup)
- 2 2 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 1 1 large red Fresno chile, seeded and finely chopped
- 1/2 1/2 1/2 cup dry white wine
- 1 1 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 1 1 pound fresh jumbo lump crabmeat, drained and picked over
- 1/4 1/4 1/4 cup chopped fresh flat-leaf parsley
- 2 2 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1 1 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice (from 1 lemon)
- 1 1 1 teaspoon kosher salt

- 2 cups warm water (110°)
- 4 cups self-rising flour
- 3/4 cup melted butter
- 3/4 cup chopped fresh chives
- 1/2 cup chopped fresh parsley
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 large egg, lightly beaten
Ground Turkey Ragu with Tagliatelle

In a Dutch oven, heat the olive oil, four turns of the pan, over medium-high
- About 1/4 cup olive oil
- 1 pound ground turkey, dark-and-white-meat blend
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 1 carrot, grated or finely chopped
- 1 rib celery with leafy top, finely chopped
- 2 large cloves garlic, chopped
- About 2 tbsp. thinly sliced fresh sage
- About 2 tbsp. chopped fresh rosemary
- About 2 tbsp. chopped fresh thyme
- About 1/4 cup chopped flat-leaf parsley
- 1 bay leaf
- Salt and pepper
- 1 cup dry white wine
- 1 28 ounce can whole peeled tomatoes (preferably San Marzano), crushed with your hands
- 1 pound egg tagliatelle
- 2 tablespoons butter
- Freshly grated Parmigiano-Reggiano
Lemon Orange Rolls

Prepare roll mix according to package directions
- 1 (16-oz.) package hot roll mix
- 1/4 cup butter, softened and divided
- 2/3 cup granulated sugar
- 2 tablespoons orange zest
- 1 tablespoon lemon zest
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 1/4 cup orange juice
Curried Quinoa Recipe

This does not have curry in it just the spicy flavor
- 1 Cup Quinoa
- 11/2 Tbsp. Vegetable Oil
- 1/2 Onion Diced (about 4 or 5 oz.)
- 1 Tsp. Grated Fresh Ginger Root
- 1/2 Fresh Green Chile (Finely Chopped)
- 1 Heaping Tsp. Turmeric
- 1 Heaping Tsp. Coriander
- 1/4 Tsp. Ground Cinnamon
- 13/4 Cups Water
- 1/2 Cup Fresh or Frozen Peas
- Salt to Taste
Best Rice Pilaf

Preheat a large skillet that has a lid over medium heat
- 1 cup organic basmati rice or jasmine rice, I used Lundberg Organic Jasmine Rice
- 2 cups homemade chicken or vegetable stock
- 2 tbsp grass fed butter
- 1 small sweet onion, finely chopped
- 2 cups thinly sliced carrots (I used my food processor to get them super thin)
- 1 /4 tsp unrefined sea salt
- 1 /3 cup chopped celery leaves
- 1 /2 tsp dried thyme
Carrot Souffle (Lighter version)

- 1/2 cups butter (or less if desired), plus more for baking dish(es)
- 3 pounds carrots, peeled and sliced
- Salt
- 1/2 cups sugar
- 6 large eggs
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour

Peach Caramel Blondie Bars

1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees F
- 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup butter, softened
- 2/3 cup sugar
- 1 egg
- 2 ounces white baking chocolate, chopped
- 1/2 cup dulce de leche or thick, caramel-flavored ice cream topping
- 2 small fresh peaches, pitted, peeled and sliced
- 1/3 cup pistachio nuts, coarsely chopped
Black Walnut Shortbread Cookies
