Northwoods Inn Red Cabbage Salad

Directions Combine all dressing ingredients and whip; pour over cabbage and toss
- 1 small head shredded red cabbage
- 1/2 cup salad oil
- 10 tablespoons red wine vinegar
- 3 tablespoons sugar
- 4 teaspoons salt
- 1 teaspoon seasoning salt ( Lawry's)
- 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
Caesar Salad

Combine all dressing ingredients in blender or food processor
- Dressing:
- 1 head of Romaine lettuce
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 cup French bread cubed into 1/2-inch pieces
- 1 clove garlic
- 1/2 grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- 1/4 cup lemon juice
- 2 cloves garlic
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
Brownies with Pecans

1 Preheat oven to 325°F with rack positioned in the lower third of the oven
- 10 * 10 T (1 1/4 sticks) unsalted butter
- 1 1/4 * 1 1/4 C sugar
- 3/4 * 3/4 C plus 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder (natural or Dutch-process)
- 1/4 * 1/4 tsp salt
- 2 * 2 tsp almond extract
- 2 * 2 cold large eggs
- 1/2 * 1/2 C all-purpose flour
- 2/3 * 2/3 C pecan pieces
Lemon Pudding Cake

1. Adjust oven rack to center position and heat oven to 325 degrees
- 1 1/4 c. unbleached all-purpose flour
- 2 tsp cornstarch
- 1 1/4 c. sugar
- 5 T. unsalted butter, room temp.
- 2 T. grated lemon zest
- 1/2 c. fresh lemon juice
- 1 1/4 c. whole milk
- 5 eggs, separated, yolks in one bowl with whites in another
Classic Greek Salad

Cut tomatoes into thin wedges and place in a medium-sized bowl
- 2 large ripe tomatoes
- 1/2 cucumber, peeled and diced
- 2 ounces kalamata olives
- 1 large red onion, finely sliced
- 6 ounces feta cheese, crumbled
- Finely grated lemon zest
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 1 teaspoon oregano, dried
- Salt, to taste
- Juice of 1/2 lemon

Herb Baste for Salmon

Combine all ingredients except salmon
- 2 tbsp. olive oil
- 2 tbsp. melted butter
- 1 tbsp. fresh chopped basil
- 1 tbsp. fresh chopped parsley
- 1 tsp. grated lemon peel
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 4 salmon steaks or 1 salmon fillet (about 1 lb.)
