Maple Creme de Brie Sauce

- 1 cup white wine
- 2 tablespoon chopped garlic
- 2 teaspoon chopped shallots
- 4 cups heavy cream
- 4 ounces Brie, rind removed
- 4 ounces Dijon mustard
- Salt and pepper
- Parsley for garnish.
Red Velvet Rum Cake – The Broke Baker

Sprinkle nuts evenly on bottom of greased bundt pan
- For the glaze:
- 2 1/2 cups Flour
- 1/3 cup Unsweetened Cocoa Powder (not Dutch-processed)
- 1 tsp Baking Soda
- 1/2 tsp Kosher Salt
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 2 cups sugar
- 4 eggs
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1/2 cup rum
- 1 oz Red Food Color
- 2 tsp Vanilla
- 1 tbsp white vinegar
- 1-1/2 chopped nuts
- 1 cup white sugar
- 1/2 cup butter
- 2 tbsp water
- 3/4 cup rum

Topping: Position a rack in the upper third of the oven
- Topping:
- Pizza Dough (see below)
- 1 cup fromage blanc
- 1/4 cup crème fraîche
- Pinch of freshly grated nutmeg
- Kosher or sea salt and freshly ground black pepper
- 2 thick slices of applewood-smoked bacon, in 1/2 inch pieces
- 1/2 small onion, sliced paper thin
- Unbleached all-purpose flour and semolina flour for dusting
- In a small bowl, whisk together the fromage blanc and crème fraîche. Season with salt and pepper.
- Dough
- 1-1/2 teaspoons active dry yeast
- 3/4 cup warm water (105°F to 110°F)
- 1 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil
- Approximately 1-3/4 cups unbleached all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon kosher or sea salt
Funeral/Celebration Sandwiches

Mix together all ingredients for the sauce
- Sandwich:
- 12 Dinner rolls/I use one package of Hawaiian Sweet Rolls = 16 in a package
- 12 slices Black Forest
- 12 slices Honey Turkey
- 12 slices Havarti Cheese
- Sauce:
- 3 T butter, melted
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 Tbs. Coarse mustard -- I use Maille brand
- 1 Tbs. Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp. onion powder
The Lady's Brunch Burger

Mix the ground beef, chopped parsley and grated onion together in a large mixing bowl
- 1 1/2 pounds ground beef
- 3 tablespoons freshly chopped parsley leaves
- 2 tablespoons grated onion
- House Seasoning, recipe follows
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 3 eggs
- 6 slices bacon, cooked
- 3 hamburger buns
- 3 English muffins
- 6 glazed donuts
- 1 cup salt
- 1/4 cup black pepper
- 1/4 cup garlic powder
Espresso Shortbread

Dissolve espresso powder in hot water
- 1 1 1 batch Basic Shortbread
- 2 2 2 tablespoons espresso powder
- 1 1 1 teaspoon hot water
- 1 1 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

- 3/4 cup quick cooking grits
- 2 ounces goat cheese

Easy Flatbread

Whisk whole wheat flour, salt, baking powder, and ⅓ cup all-purpose flour in a medium bowl
- ½ cup whole wheat flour
- ¾ tsp. kosher salt
- ¼ tsp. baking powder
- ⅓ cup all-purpose flour, plus more for dusting
- ½ cup whole-milk yogurt (not Greek)

Mix the eggs with the Bisquick, by hand
- 2 c. Bisquick
- 2 eggs
- 1 qt. Buttermilk
- Butter for the griddle
- PAPA IN NEVADA’S HOMEMADE SYRUP
- Brown Sugar
- Water
- Butter
- Put 1c. of brown in small saucepan over low heat.
- Add a little water at a time until warm and right consistency.
- Finish with a tablespoon (or two) of butter.
- Pour over pancakes.
