- 2 (8 ounce) containers jumbo lump crabmeat, picked free of shell
- 1 mango, peeled, pitted, and finely chopped
- 1 shallot, minced
- 1/2 cup minced green onion
- 1 T. minced fresh thyme
- 4 T. extra-light olive oil
- 3 T. fresh lemon juice
- 1 T. white wine vinegar
- 1 t. salt

- 2 - 3 large cloves garlic, chopped, plus 1 large clove garlic, halved
- 1 jalapeno chile pepper, finely chopped, or 1 tsp. crushed red pepper
- Salt and pepper
- 4 cups chicken or vegetable stock
- 2 15 1/2 ounce cans chickpeas
- 1 28 ounce can whole tomatoes, preferably San Marzano, diced or crushed by hand
- 4 slices crusty Italian or peasant bread

- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
- 4 slices thick-cut bacon, cut into 1/2-inch pieces
- 2 medium leeks, white and pale-green parts only, halved lengthwise, sliced crosswise
- Kosher salt
- 3/4 cup heavy cream
- 2 teaspoons chopped fresh thyme
- 1 pound pappardelle or fettuccine
- 1 cup finely grated Parmesan or Grana Padano

- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1/4 cup canola oil

- 8 cups torn leaf lettuce
- 1 medium sweet red pepper, chopped
- 1 medium sweet yellow pepper, chopped
