- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, minced
- 1 package (7 to 8 ounce) medium egg noodles
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 2 pounds lean ground round or well-trimmed chuck
- 1 can (6 ounce) tomato paste
- 1 small jar (14 ounce) pizza sauce
- 1 tablespoon fresh basil, or 1 teaspoon. dried
- 1 tablespoon fresh oregano, or 1 teaspoon dried
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon coarsely ground black pepper
