  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • Red pepper flakes - to taste, but at least 1/2 tsp.

  • 1/2 cup white wine
  • 1/2 cup chicken stock, plus addition if sauce becomes too thick
  • 1 14oz can tomato sauce (Trader Joe's is the best - tomato without the 'tin')
  • salt and pepper
  • Mussels - Prince Edward Island are the best - 2 lbs.
  • Pasta, your choice cooked to package directions at time of serving
  • Parmesan cheese, if desired.
