Carla Hall's Perfect Pie Crust

In a small bowl, dissolve the sugar and salt in the water
- 1 tablespoon Sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon Table Salt
- 1/3 cup Water
- 1/2 pound (2 sticks) cold Unsalted Butter (cut into 1/2-inch dice)
- 2 1/4 cups All-Purpose Flour (plus more for rolling)
Cheesy! Saucy! Light!

- 5 oz. reduced fat sharp cheddar cheese
- 1 tbsp. cornstarch
- 1 cup evaporated fat-free milk
- 1 1/2 tsp. hot sauce for spicy nacho-style kick (optional)
Homemade Cake Mix Spice

Preheat oven to 350 degrees
- 4 cups Homemade Cake Mix
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/8 teaspoon cloves
- 1/8 teaspoon allspice
- 2 tsp. vanilla
- 1/2 cup oil
- 3 eggs
- 1 cup milk
Savory Party Bread

Cut the bread lengthwise and widthwise without cutting through the bottom crust
- 1 unsliced round loaf (1 pound) sourdough bread
- 1 pound Monterey Jack cheese, sliced
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 1/2 cup chopped green onions
- 2 to 3 teaspoons poppy seeds
Crock Pot Brocolli Cheese Bowl

Saute 1 small onion and 3 cloves of garlic diced in 2 Tbs
- 1 small onion
- 3 cloves of garlic diced
- 2 tbsp butter
- several fresh stalks fresh chopped broccoli
- 4 cups chicken broth
- 1 cup water

- 1 cup half & half or whole milk
- 8 oz. velveeta cheese cubed or 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

- 1 cup cherry pie filling*
- 1 cup drained pineapple chunks
- 1 box yellow cake mix
- 2 sticks butter
- 1 cup shredded coconut
- 1 cup chopped pecans or walnuts
- May use apple pie filling and large can of peaches instead.
Garden Pea Salad

In a colander, drain peas very well
- 1 (15 oz.) can Leseur peas
- 1/4 cup chopped onion
- 2 boiled eggs, crumbled
- 2 to 3 tbsp. mayonnaise
- salt and pepper
- chopped pimento, optional
- crumbled bacon
Chocolate Cream Cheese Frosting - Cocoa #

Blend cream cheese and butter; add vanilla
- 1 (3 oz.) package cream cheese, softened
- 6 tbsp. butter at room temperature
- 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
- 6 tbsp. unsweetened cocoa (1/3 cup)
- 3 cups confectioners' sugar
- 3 tbsp. milk
