- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 2 1/2 teaspoons anise seeds
- 3/4 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 3 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2 eggs, lightly beaten
- Vegetable cooking spray
- 1 teaspoon water
- 1 egg white, lightly beaten
- 1 1/2 tablespoons turbinado sugar
Veal Stew with Cilantro-Chile Sauce

Preparation Preheat oven to 325°
- 1 (2-pound) boneless veal leg roast
- 3 1/2 cups low-salt chicken broth
- 1 cup sliced carrot
- 3/4 cup sliced celery
- 1/2 cup thinly sliced green onions
- 1/3 cup thinly sliced seeded jalapeño pepper
- 1/3 cup fresh cilantro leaves
- 6 garlic cloves
- 1 bay leaf
- 1/2 cup orange juice
- 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup thinly sliced green onions
- 2 tablespoons minced fresh cilantro

- 1/2 cup mayonnaise or salad dressing
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/8 teaspoon ground white pepper

White Chocolate Bread Pudding with White Chocolate Sauce

- 8 ounces French bread, cut into 1-inch pieces
- 3 1/2 cups whipping cream
- 1 cup milk (do not use low-fat or nonfat)
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 18 ounces good-quality white chocolate (such as Lindt or Baker's),coarsely chopped
- 7 large egg yolks
- 2 large eggs
Paleo Turkey Curry Stew with Pumpkin

This is a rich and satisfying stew with an exotic twist
- Garnish:
- 2 tablespoons coconut oil or olive oil
- 1 large onion
- 4 cloves garlic
- 2 lbs raw turkey, or 1 1/2 pounds if cooked (organic, pasture raised is best)
- 8 ounces fresh mushrooms (button, crimini, etc.) washed and sliced
- 1 1/2 - 2 cups chicken broth (organic, free range if possible)
- 1/2 to 1 cup unsweetened coconut milk
- 1 medium zucchini, coarsely cut into cubes
- 3/4 cup almond butter (creamy, roasted if possible)
- 2 tablespoons Night-shade free curry powder (or your favorite curry mix)
- 2 cups pumpkin, gently cooked and cut into 1/2-inch cubes
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/4 cup almonds, soaked and lightly toasted (See All About Nuts.)
- 2 tablespoons parsley, chopped
Paleo Pumpkin Bread

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F
- Version 1:
- 2 large eggs
- 3/4 cup sunbutter (you may also use almond butter)
- 1/2 cup grade B maple syrup
- 1/2 cup pumpkin puree (homemade or canned)
- 3 tablespoons softened palm shortening, ghee, or unsalted butter
- 2 teaspoons fresh lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup arrowroot powder
- 1 1/2 tablespoons cinnamon
- 2 teaspoons nutmeg
- 2 teaspoons grain-free baking powder (or make your own- 1tsp baking soda+2 tsp cream of tartar)
- 1/2 teaspoon lemon zest
- 1/2 teaspoon ginger
- 1/4 teaspoon sea salt
- note: if almond butter is used, decrease baking powder to 1.5 teaspoons and add 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- Version 2:
- This version does not use arrowroot starch but instead uses fiber-rich coconut flour. Note the baking times are different than the original recipe
- above.

- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil
- 1 tablespoon butter shopping list
- 12-ounce package fresh pineapple chunks (13⁄4 cups)
- 1/2 cup orange juice
- 1/2 teaspoon cornstarch
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 2 jalapeno chilies, seeded and minced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons chopped cilantro
